Still running
your own
servers?
Find out what it would actually cost to stop — in two weeks, for a fixed fee, from someone who has done it at scale. I'm Adam Brown, and I've spent 25 years in enterprise IT, including an AWS migration that took $300K a year out of the budget.
Start here
The Cloud Migration Readiness Review.
Most companies your size aren't sure whether the cloud saves money or just moves the bill around. Two weeks of focused work answers that with real numbers from your environment — before you commit to a vendor, a platform, or a contract.
Built for companies of 50–150 employees
with aging on-prem servers,
a lean IT team or a single MSP,
and a CFO asking what this would cost.
What you get
- A full inventory of servers, applications, and the dependencies between them
- A three-year cost comparison: staying put versus moving, with the numbers shown
- A risk register — what breaks, what needs rework, what genuinely can't move
- A sequenced migration roadmap with phases, rough timing, and effort
- A written recommendation you can hand to your board, your bank, or your insurer
Fixed fee, agreed before we start. One day on site, the rest remote. If the answer is that you shouldn't move, I'll tell you that — and you'll have the analysis to back the decision up.
Ask about the reviewThe approach
A company your size doesn't need a technology strategy department. It needs one person who has made these decisions before, will give you a straight answer, and won't sell you the thing they happen to resell.
I don't take vendor commissions. My only incentive is the recommendation being right.
Other ways to work together
Problems I've solved before.
Beyond the readiness review — each of these is work I've owned end to end, not advised on from a distance.
Fractional & interim IT leadership
You have an IT person or an MSP, but nobody senior deciding what to spend money on, what to retire, and what to say no to. A few days a month covers strategy, budget, vendor decisions, and the board or ownership conversation — without adding an executive to payroll.
Security, compliance & risk
The customer security questionnaire you can't answer, the cyber insurance renewal asking questions you don't have evidence for, the NIST-aligned assessment nobody in-house can run. Clean track record — annual SOX audits with no material findings.
ERP & business systems
When finance is running the company out of spreadsheets because nobody trusts the system of record. Selection, implementation oversight, and keeping the vendor honest. Replaced a legacy GL with Microsoft Dynamics 365; consolidated five revenue systems into one.
Team building & facilitation
Offsites, leadership alignment, and the hard conversations that move a team forward — retrospectives, new-team charters, and change that doesn't lose people along the way.

Also: AI rollout and training, network modernization, and IT due diligence for an acquisition. If it's adjacent, ask.
Why trust the recommendation
The scale this judgment came from.
Your company isn't this size, and it doesn't need to be. But the decisions below were made with real money and real consequences — which is what you're actually hiring. Twenty-five years at Rayonier, a global timber REIT, from applications developer to Director of IT.
Selected transformations
What that looked like in practice.
The migration story is the one most relevant to a readiness review — the rest is context for the judgment behind it.
On-prem to AWS
Migrated on-premises infrastructure to Amazon Web Services — saving $300K+ a year while improving scalability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
MPLS to DMVPN
Re-architected the wide-area network across every site, cutting networking costs by $400K+ annually and strengthening connectivity company-wide.
Dynamics 365 GL
Replaced a legacy general-ledger system with Microsoft Dynamics 365 — sharper financial reporting, stronger SOX controls, better security posture.
Salesforce e-commerce
Launched a Salesforce-based e-commerce platform that modernized a $20M+ business and opened previously untapped assets to digital sales.
Enterprise Gemini rollout
Deployed Google Gemini company-wide with hands-on training for every employee, positioning the organization to use AI in daily operations.
Acquisition & spin-off
Integrated a 55-employee acquisition and led the IT build-out through a corporate spin-off — keeping both businesses running smoothly throughout.
About
ABC and Associates, LLC Adam C. Brown, Principal MBA — Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina Greenville, SC & remote
The person you'd actually be working with.
The "ABC" is me — Adam C. Brown. Over 25 years at Rayonier, a global timber REIT, I grew from an applications developer into Director of IT — leading a 22-member department, a $10M budget, and operations spanning the U.S. and New Zealand, reporting to senior leadership and the board.
The throughline across every role has been the same: I'm the translator between what the business needs and what technology can actually deliver — whether that's bridging IT and the forestry and real-estate units as a relationship manager, consolidating five revenue systems into one, or steering a company through cloud, ERP, and AI transformations without losing the people along the way.
I started ABC and Associates to bring that directly to companies that need the judgment without the headcount. There is no bench, no account manager, and no handoff to junior staff — when you hire ABC and Associates, I'm the person who does the work, and you have my mobile number.
Contact
Book a 20-minute call.
Twenty minutes on a video call is usually enough to tell whether a readiness review would be worth your money — and I'll say so if it wouldn't. No deck, no follow-up sequence.
Useful to know up front: roughly how many employees, what you're running on premise today, and what's forcing the question — a hardware refresh, a lease, an insurance renewal, or just a bill that keeps growing.
